AeroGal (the name is short for Aerolineas Galapagos) is a very small airline based in Ecuador which provides domestic flights in Ecuador and regional flights to Colombia and Peru. The only international destination serviced by the airline is New York in the USA, although the airline’s international network may expand by a few more routes once new planes have been acquired. The main shareholder in AeroGal is Avianca, the flag carrier airline of Colombia.

AeroGal provides two cabin classes:
- Business class
- Economy class
Passenger feedback indicates that the catering is adequate for the duration of the flights, but because this is a small-scale airline providing mainly shorter flights, you should not expect extensive arrangements menu-wise, although it is possible to pre-order vegetarian meals. Business class seats are spacious. Basic electronic entertainment is provided. This is more than some low-cost domestic carriers provide on flights of similar duration.
AeroGal operates a tiny fleet of nine leased Airbus aircraft and one Boeing 767. Established in 1986, the airline has never had an accident. Until recently, the airline used to operate older models of Boeing (such as the 727) which may have been a point of interest for some passengers but has stopped using them and now uses mainly Airbus models.
